6 Week Challenge - Renée's Week 2 Diary Blog

I've just about completed week 2 and it has gone extremely well. Not only did I earn 8 new trophies, I also dropped 8 pounds! Who says you can't lose weight over the holidays? I have been making good food choices by partnering my physical activity with Jenny Craig. I did not realize that my main problem was not eating enough! I have been slowing down my metabolism and putting on weight because my body has been in starvation mode. Now I eat 3 main meals and 3 snacks a day. Sounds like a lot of food but I am also learning about portion sizes (not too big) and filling up on salads and veggies. Good Stuff!

Of course with all of my working out I have so much more energy and in addition to the Challenge workout I am doing an additional pre-set workout. I am averaging about an hour of working out with EA SPORTS Active More Workouts on my challenge days. Although on Thanksgiving I put things into overdrive and worked out a whopping 3 hours. In the morning I did my regular Challenge workout and an addition pre-set workout. Since I wear a pedometer I am tracking my steps and told myself that when I returned from dinner I'd put in another workout to ensure my 10,000 steps (5 miles) for the day. Well, because of a glitch with my pedometer I ended up doing 3 additional workouts when I came home - the crazy thing was not tracking my steps! I don't plan on repeating that day but it did feel good to push myself.

My experience has shown me that over the holidays we can all indulge in special treats but it is important not to go overboard. And most importantly,  remember to exercise! I cannot wait to see what next week has in store for me!
